Napa's downtown trolley, little used by tourists and locals alike, is facing a grim future should downtown Napa business owners decide to stop an annual $50,000 subsidy of the trolley.
Napa City Council members are urging the Napa County Transportation and Planning Agency — the trolley operators — to consider ways to keep the trolley going.
Remember, the city of Napa does not operate the trolley. Money comes from state gas tax revenue and from downtown merchants.
