Napa's downtown trolley, little used by tourists and locals alike, is facing a grim future should downtown Napa business owners decide to stop an annual $50,000 subsidy of the trolley.

Napa City Council members are urging the Napa County Transportation and Planning Agency — the trolley operators — to consider ways to keep the trolley going.

Remember, the city of Napa does not operate the trolley. Money comes from state gas tax revenue and from downtown merchants.

What would you do with the trolleys if you had a say in their operation?
