A close reading of health bill, not Palin's book

Dear editor, now that the Senate has introduced its version of health care reform, it’s time for those of us who are satisfied with our current health plans to worry. While I have no problem with trying to provide coverage to more individuals, I don’t believe it takes a bill of more than 1,900 pages to do so. Remember “the devil is in the details,” and with that many pages that’s a lot of detail.

Perhaps the media can stop poring through Sarah Palin’s new book looking for inconsistencies and read the health care proposals to see how they differ from what our congressmen are telling us. Now that would be worth reporting!
