The Fifth annual Shannon Lemieux Memorial Aquatic Meet was held April 25 at the Vintage High Aquatic Complex. Our high school swimmers, divers and water polo players from Justin-Siena, Napa and Vintage high schools were joined for the day by local Special Olympics swimmers, the Redwood Empire Synchronized Swim Team, members of Wine Country Aquatics and Napa Valley Water Polo, all of whom fully captured the spirit of the day.

Even in today’s uncertain times, the generosity of our community shined through and our largest crowd ever had an outstanding assortment of wine, restaurants and gifts to bid upon, ensuring another successful day. This has enabled us to provide scholarships to the largest group of graduates to date and we are proud to announce this year’s recipients.

They are Robin Dore-Andrews, Chardonnay Biter-Mundt, Clayton Boydston, Stephanie Frye, Ryan Hitzler, Liz Holman, Devon Jones, Erin Komplin, Kevin Lung, Kayla Madole, Andrea Marin, Spencer May, Emilie Osterkamp, Alyssa Prager, Elizabeth Rouse, Lauren Ryder, Emma Witt, Julie Yates and Cameron Zeller.

Each student will receive $500 paid to the schools they choose to attend to continue their education. Their names bring our total number of scholarships awarded to 62 over five years.

Thank you once again to all our donors and supporters. Planning for the Sixth Annual Shannon Lemieux Memorial Swim Meet has already begun and we are excited about growing this community event.
