Bessie Incaviglia

Bessie Incaviglia passed away July 17, 2009, at the age of 94. Bessie was born to Shido and Patrina Russo in Pittsburg. She survived seven older brothers.

In 1937 Bessie moved to San Francisco and married Salvadore Incaviglia, who preceded her in death in 1980. She is survived by her son, Salvatore (Patricia) Incaviglia; daughter Michelle Trade; her three grandchildren: Chrissy Reeves and Tricia and Matt Incaviglia; great-grandchildren Jonathon and Kayla Hennion, Tyler, Allyson and Nicholas Reeves, and Emma Incaviglia.

Bessie played an active role in her church at St. Thomas Aquinas. She was awarded Senior of the Year in 1998 and received a gold medal in the Senior Olympics at the age of 84.

A rosary will be held Wednesday, July 22, at 7 p.m., at Claffey & Rota Funeral Home in Napa. The funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 23, at 11 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 2725 Elm St., Napa. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, in Colma.
