Special school board meeting draws 110 — St. Helena Star — About 110 people packed Vintage Hall on Wednesday to speak out about the St. Helena Unified School District’s selection of a new superintendent. In an hour and a half, 31 people addressed the board, expressing both sides of the controversy over how to replace the retiring Superintendent Allan Gordon.
DNA confirms link to roadside attack — Weekly Calistogan — DNA has linked Thomas Darin Boccaleoni, 44, of Cotati, to a sexual assault that occurred in November 2008, in one of about a dozen cases police believe they can link to attempted assaults that have taken place in the last five months.
City hosting youth job fair — American Canyon Eagle — With recent reports of unemployment at 11 percent statewide and 13 percent in American Canyon, finding a job hasn’t been tougher since before this crop of high school graduates was born. So in another first for American Canyon, the city, in conjunction with Boys & Girls Clubs of Napa Valley, is coming to their rescue by sponsoring the first career and job fair exclusively for American Canyon youth on May 15 at the Community Center/ACMS gym, 100 Benton Way.
