Napa police halted an apparent crime spree Friday night with the arrest of three Santa Rosa residents and one from Rohnert Park.
On Friday at 9:15 p.m., Fawntina Mae Touchstone, 27, and Alexandra Paumelia Perkins, 20, both of Santa Rosa, walked into Coach Leatherware Factory Store, at the Napa Premium Outlets, and allegedly grabbed a bunch of high-end purses, Sgt. John Kostelac said.
Touchstone and Perkins ran out of the outlet store and entered a vehicle driven by 32-year-old Jay William Parsegian, of Rohnert Park, with Nathan Daniel Arrula, 32, of Santa Rosa, as a passenger Kostelac said.
Coach Leatherware staff got a description and a license plate number from the vehicle and an alert officer spotted it traveling south on Highway 29. The officer stopped the vehicle on Highway 29, near First Street, Kostelac said.
“(The officer) found a load of property that had been shoplifted, in plain view (inside the vehicle),” he said.
Among the items were $2,000 worth of purses stolen from Coach Leatherware as well as tools, clothing and several gift items stolen from local stores Kostelac said.
Officers found evidence that the four people had been sending text messages to one another about the crimes throughout the day Kostelac said. Touchstone, Perkins, Arrula and Parsegian were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime, possession of stolen property, grand theft and burglary.
