WEST COAST SWING — Dance those holiday pounds off with a 12-week West Coast Swing dance series. Lessons begin at 8 p.m. and include a one and a half hour lesson plus music to dance to afterward. $15, at DG's, 530 Main St., Napa in the Hatt Building.

'ARSENIC AND OLD LACE' — The Napa High School drama department presents Joseph Kesselring's "Arsenic and Old Lace." Shows will be Jan. 26, 27 and 28 at 8 p.m. in the Little Theater. Tickets available at the door, $5 students and seniors, $8 adults.

FREE ADMISSION TO COPIA ALL MONTH — Copia will open its doors to the public for free general admission. The month features Sonoma Bounty — amazing artisan wines, food and culinary luminaries that have made the region famous, "Trashformations," an exhibit featuring recycled art, Val Diamond in concert and much more. LES YEUX NOIRS — The Paris based Les Yeux Noirs or "The Black Eyes," named after a 1930s Russian Gypsy tune made famous by the legendary Django Reinhardt, will perform at the Napa Valley Opera House at 8 p.m. The group's music draws heavily upon Gypsy themes from Romania, Hungary, Russia and Armenia. But for the sextet this is just a starting point, they add elements of klezmer and what has come to be called manouche, French Gypsy jazz, to the mix. $35/$30. NV MUSEUM ARTIST RECEPTION — The Napa Valley Museum presents "Romance of the Bells: The California Missions in Art," an exhibition featuring paintings of California's historic missions through April 23. A reception for members will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Romance of the Bells presents 60 paintings by 30 of the best-known artists from the California Impressionist period. The exhibition covers 18 of the 21 missions and includes a rare series of etchings by Henry Chapman Ford from 1883. Info, 944-0500.

OZARK JUBILEE — Celebrate comedy, country, bluegrass and gospel with Branson, Mo.'s funniest comedian and world class fiddler, Doofus Doolittle. Doofus, aka Randy Newman, has established himself as special guest of the Grand Ole Opry. He has audiences rolling in the aisles with his unique style of hillbilly humor. FRIDAY NIGHT FLICKS — Copia presents, "Tupperware," directed by Laurie Kahn-Leavitt. Every 2.5 seconds, another Tupperware party is held somewhere on the world. Coming in all shapes, sizes and colors and bringing joy to housewives everywhere, the miraculous polystyrene brainchild of inventor Earl Tupper was also a boon to a burgeoning women's workforce. DOWNTOWN NAPA BACK IN BUSINESS — During the weekend of Jan. 27 and 28, more than 20 Napa merchants will offer visitors an enticing variety of special packages and unique dining and cultural experiences. SF BAY FLYWAY FESTIVAL — A premier birding event for the entire family. NORTHWEST BLUESMAN CURTIS SALGADO — As always, Curtis Salgado's take on soul music is wide-ranging. His heartfelt approach to the music has won him starring roles as lead singer in bands led by such starts as Robert Cray and Santana. Salgado is one of the most down-to-earth, soulful, honest singers ever, and his harmonica work is smoking. At DG's, 530 Main St., Napa, doors open at 8 p.m., tickets $17 at the door.

DJ CHRIS SAVAGE — DJing all over California, at such venues as the Rio, Liftoff and On The Rocks, Chris Savage is red hot and making heads turn by adding a new and refreshing taste to the club scene. Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Depot, 806 Fourth St., Napa.

YOUNTVILLE ELEMENTARY RED & WHITE AFFAIR — In a winter wonderland setting, enjoy local wines and food from Yountville's famous eateries while bidding on rare wines and other special donations to benefit the Yountville Elementary School P.T.A. 'JUST IMAGINE: A GARDEN OF LEARNING' — This annual auction begins at 6 p.m. at the Trinchero Family Estates Winery in St. Helena and benefits over 1,400 students from kindergarten through high school. ORGAN RECITAL — The Redwood Empire Chapter of the American Guild of Organists presents organist Malcolm Anderson, performing "Music for the Organ that Swings." VAL DIAMOND IN CONCERT — Val Diamond, star of Beach Blanket Babylon, America's longest running musical revue, kicks off Copia's 2006 concert season. 'ON GOLDEN POND' — Dreamweavers Theatre is proud to open its 2006 Season with Ernest Thompson's "On Golden Pond." This is the love story of Norman and Ethel Thayer, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond for the 44th year. They are visited by their divorced daughter and her fiance, who then go off to Europe, leaving their teenage son behind for the summer. QUEEN OF CABARET — The "Queen of Cabaret" Andrea Marcovicci, performs her new show Andrea Sings Astaire one night only at the Napa Valley Opera House. MISSION-STYLE ARCHITECTURE — While the mission churches themselves fell into disrepair by the 19th century, the myth of the mission took root and flourished, giving California a historical past with an authentic architectural expression.
