Shannon Wetzler and Timothy Wilson were married Aug. 15, 2009, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Madrid, Iowa, followed by a reception in the Memorial Union at Iowa State University.

The wedding party included matron of honor Breanne Emerson-Armstrong; bridesmaids Brieanne Martin, Kelly Hutton, Tara Laabs, Adreana Laabs, Lizann Ticen-LaRosa, and flower girls Avery Laabs and Mia Wetzler. The best man was Tyson Nielsen, and groomsmen included Mike Wetzler, Brad Holtz, Jason Eygaboard, Christopher (Kit) Wetzler and Ryan Miller. Ring bearer was Kaden Laabs. Ushers were Ryan Wilson, Kevin Laabs and Scott Stevenson. Pastor Marcus Badgley conducted the service.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii.

Shannon is the daughter of Mary Margaret and Robert Wetzler of Napa. She is a 1998 graduate of Vintage High School, earned her bachelor’s degree in 2002 from Sonoma State University in developmental psychology and completed her master’s degree in human development and parent education in 2008 from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. She is a parent educator at The People Place — a nonprofit program sponsored by Lutheran Services — and is a part-time instructor at Iowa State.
Tim is the son of Connie and Ronald Wilson of Armstrong, Iowa. He is a 1998 graduate of Armstrong-Ringsted High School and a 2003 graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in agricultural studies. He is employed by Syngenta Seed Inc. as a soybean technical production manager.
