A lovers’ spat landed a Calistoga woman in jail Thursday evening.

St. Helena Police officers arrested Loreen Marie Andrews, 48, on suspicion of domestic violence.
Andrews and her boyfriend met on the 900 block of Signorelli Circle in St. Helena at 10:15 p.m., to talk about alleged infidelity in the relationship, St. Helena Police Sgt. Matt Talbott said.

“Someone called us and said a man and a woman were fighting in the street,” Talbott said. “She felt that he was seeing someone else and arrived at this location to confront him about that.”
When officers arrived on scene, they found Andrews near her car, rummaging through her purse Talbott said. Further investigation revealed that Andrews had pushed the man and caused him to fall and hurt his elbow and back,  legs and ribs.

“He was trying to get away from her as to not make a scene,” Talbott said. “She continued to push and shove him.”
The officers took Andrews into custody.

" Now this is just too much info here. we don't need to know what they were fighting about, that's none of anyone's business but theirs. It's bad enough that the arrest makes the paper. "
