The American Red Cross honored three Pacific Union College students recently for their heroic actions in an aquatic rescue this summer at Leoni Meadows, a Seventh-day Adventist campground in Northern California.

The 13th annual Suscol Intertribal Council art auction dinner will be held Saturday, Nov. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. This year for the first time, the event will take place at the Women’s Club building, 218 Franklin St., Napa.

Students at St. John’s Lutheran School hosted their annual Get On Track jogathon on Sept. 25.

Every year, at least one game that I expect little from ends up blowing me away.

Another Halloween night has come and gone, and with it the trick-or-treaters, from tots accompanied by their parents to older children making their annual rounds. 

It started last week. One Huffman daughter wasn’t doing so great. She was hot. She was cranky. Her back hurt.

While these offerings are only published every two weeks, I constantly think about the old days in Napa. Like many seniors, my memory of yesterday is fuzzy while my memory of six or seven decades ago is clear, so I never seem to run out of subjects.
