Luz Maria Gallegos and Alberto Avila of Napa were married Aug. 9, 2009, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Yountville.

The wedding party included matron of honor Vanessa Ayala; maid of honor Sandra Gallegos; bridesmaids Lorena Castro, Angelica Olmos, Angelica Galvan, Yesenia and Alicia Avila; best man Jesus Rios; groomsmen Isac and Carlos Avila, Antonio Aviña, Roberto Galvan, David Castro and Osvaldo Ayala; and flower girl Alexsis Ramirez Gallegos.
At the reception, held at the beautiful Hiddenbrooke Golf Club, the groom surprised his new bride by singing her a song.

After the wedding, the couple spent a one-week honeymoon on a cruise to Baja California, relaxing, sightseeing and parasailing.
Luz Maria is the daughter of Sara and Antonio Gallegos of Napa. She is a 2001 graduate of St. Helena High School and a 2003 graduate of Napa Valley College.

Alberto is the son of Esperanza and Isac Avila of Napa. He is a 2002 graduate of Napa High School and a 2004 graduate of Universal Technical Institute.æ
