Dear editor, To residents of Napa:

The Shearer School Student Council would like to express our gratitude to the many people who helped make our Harvest Dance a huge success. Thanks to everyone who contributed, we were able to raise more than $1,200 for Heifer International.
Special thanks to: The Stanly Lane Pumpkin Patch for donating 100 pumpkins; Soscol Auto Body for generously donating cupcakes and candy; Raley’s Market for the $25 gift card; Jamba Juice for donating 20 percent of the price of the smoothies sold at the event; First Christian Church for donating eight bales of hay; parent Mr. de La Cruz for being an awesome DJ; Heidi and Chris for the amazing light show; and parents who brought cupcakes and pumpkins.

Our continued thanks to the wonderful Shearer staff and students. They continue to support us with their time, energy, donations and goodwill. A special thanks to Tere Delgado and her entire family; Jill Anderson, Bobbie Beckman, Tourkia Bach and Sarah Carmody, our ticket sales people; and Jaclyn Imrie, Jill Anderson, Tere Delgado and our student council for decorating and manning the booths. Thanks to Olivia McCormick and Helen Rocca, our personal support system and bouncers. Robin Thompson, Cyd Nelson, Teresa Martinez, Eva Zavala, Teresa Navarro, who attended and pitched in when needed.
Thanks to Gerard Perez, Monette Straily, Mari Emmons, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly, Ms. Peacook, Ms. DeLong, Mr. and Mrs. Holstein, Mr. and Mrs. Ayers, Mr. and Mrs. Timmons, Dr. and Mrs. Pastcan for their cash donations in response to our previous letter to the editor. would also like to thank Mr. Will Bunker, Ms. Jaclyn Imrie, the Waechtler Family and the Delgado family for their donations.
