Why is Dodd helping developers?

Dear editor, So now a lawsuit by the developers that abandoned Aetna Springs and their whining about “hidden agendas” forces a new hearing on the Luciana project. If anyone has a hidden agenda, it appears to be Bill Dodd. In his drive to get the developers what they want, Dodd now attacks his own supervisors! Apparently, he doesn’t mind that the county faces a ridiculous expense fighting a lawsuit by a bunch of losers.

His objective is obvious. Why?

" I'm fairly certain that Dodd is on a County funded trip to France titled "Great Wine Capitals". Once he returns, perhaps he can explain why he has such little regard for how county money is wasted. "

" I will be interested to see if Mr. Dodd will respond and "explain" honestly to this current lawsuit from these developers by saying, "I am willing to ruin and smear other supervisor's reputations for the good of the individuals I care about and represent."

I just wish Mr. Dodd and Mr. Luce would care about our Napa community's long-term needs and financial concerns with the same intensity as they seem to care about these developers interests.

If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck... "

" kbc - your argument supports the thought that the Napa Valley Vintners should be paying for the Great Wine Capitals trip and not the government. So what happens if another region takes the spot and has to pay for the trip? Nothing! One government boondoggle will not promote Napa Valley as a capital of wines as much as the quality of our wines will. I am a big fan of Napa Valley wines, but we have achieved our status with the wine, not with government paying for boondoggles. "

" FYI -
To anyone confused about the reference that was made by PlasticPinkFlamingo to “kbc”:
The posting by “kbc” with reference to Napa Valley Vintners has been removed likely due to a violation of NVR posting policy about “name calling” other people.
Thank you NVR. "

" Bill Dodd has represented the interests of developers over the interests of Napa county citizens for years. So has Mark Luce. "

" I had this thought tonight. Dodd is not just helping developers, he's helping mega developers. And by building this Valley out too quickly, we take opportunity away from the small, local developers who build custom homes and typically hires locals.

Has anyone considered the impact of mega development on the livelihood of smaller, custom home builders? "

" Oh Billy, Were your ears burning while you were in France?

People are really talking and they are greatly displeased that you ignore the wishes of residents in favor of your big city developer buddies!

Things are about to change! "

" Only if he represents big city developer types. He has long ago abandoned any local values. "
