PLACERVILLE - Wanda Faye Threat of Placerville passed away on Oct. 10, 2009, at the age of 77, surrounded by her loving family.

Wanda is survived by her six children: Joe Threat III (Mari), Debbie Chadbourne, John Threat (Maria), James Threat (Trudy), Jacqueline Threat-Pagliuso (Paul) and Jason Threat (Jodi), as well as by her 29 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and family in Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Threat Jr. , her parents Joe and Lannie Hardin, and her two brothers Laverne and Joe Hardin.
Wanda was born in Mineral Springs, Ark., on Sept. 23, 1932. She and her husband Joe moved to California in 1952 while Joe was in the Air Force. Upon completion of his enlistment, they started a family pest control business, Threat Termite & Pest Control, which they operated with the help of their children in Napa for over 50 years. She was an avid member of the Lion/Lioness club and loved to travel, cook, garden and spend as much time as she could with her grandchildren.

Wanda was laid to rest in Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Breast Cancer Foundation be made in her name as Wanda was a breast cancer survivor.
