Varsity Volleyball: Napa goes 2-3 in Super 8 Tourney, downs Vacaville

Napa High went 2-3 in the Super 8 Tournament Saturday with victories over Union Mine and Granite Bay and losses to St. Francis, Oak Ridge and Union Mine.

Cassidy Wallace set the entire day and totaled 113 assists. Maggie Agardi, Tatum Souza and Maggie Wessell led the attack by combining for 109 kills. Agardi led the team in hitting with a .333 percentage.
Macie Schweizer, Paige Folger, Souza and Agardi teamed up for 34 blocks.

Wallace led the team in serving with 54 attempts.
Cheyenne Clark, Shannon Oga and Wessell had 21 service aces.

Oga led the team in digs with 59, followed by Wessell with 37, Souza with 36, Wallace with 30, and Clark with 29. Oga had 44 perfect passes and a 2.23 average.
Napa defeated Vacaville on Monday, 25-9, 25-15, 25-17, to improve to 14-0 in Monticello Empire League play.

Souza and Wessell teamed up for 20 kills. Souza hit for a .476 percentage.

Wallace tallied 19 assists. Schweizer had three blocks. Wessell had 17 service attempts, including five aces.

Oga led the team with 15 digs. Oga and Kaylie Martin each had six perfect passes.

Napa will host Vintage in the final MEL match of the season tonight at 6 p.m.
