Prep Girls Tennis: Braves triumph at MCAL Championships

The girls tennis season continued Tuesday for Justin-Siena High School, which resumed play in the Marin County Athletic League Championships.

In the No. 1 singles bracket, No. 4 seed Maja Jeramaz of Justin-Siena lost to top seed Laura Posylkin from San Marin-Novato in the semifinals, 6-2, 6-0.
In the No. 2 singles bracket, No. 2 seed Rachel Carston of Justin-Siena defeated Morgan Miller of Branson-Ross, 6-1, 6-2. The four seed, Kelsea Thomas from Justin-Siena, was a 7-6, 6-4 winner over Maddie Bell of Redwood-Larkspur.

Thomas and Carston will meet today in the finals of the MCAL singles No. 2 division.
In the No. 2 doubles draw, unseeded Jette Nordemann and Fernanda Olivera fell to Anna Aronomitz and Alex Goldstein of Tamalpais-Mill Valley, 6-0, 6-1.
