Richard Bell
NAPA - Richard Glen Bell, a native Napan, died Oct. 24, 2009, at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. Born at the old Parks Victory Hospital in Napa on July 6, 1954, Richard attended Napa schools and graduated from Big Bend community college in Washington.
After a stint in the U.S. Army in Germany, Richard returned to Napa where he worked in the U.S. Post Office for 36 years.
Richard is survived by his siblings, Debra Bell Tokarz of Spokane, Wash., Dianne Canfield of Sprague River, Ore., Lt. B. Thomas Bell of Alameda, Don Bell of Redding, and Dedra Bell Davies of Murphys. Richard was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Shirley Bell, of Napa.
Richard will be remembered by his family and friends as a gentle, peaceful, loving soul who had a love of music, motorcycles and travel.
Interment will be private and donations may be made in his memory to Queen of the Valley Medical Center or the Diabetes Foundation.
