A Napa man was arrested Monday after Napa police officers witnessed what appeared to be a drug deal between two people.

At 4:42 p.m., an officer was in the area of Fourth and Franklin streets. He saw what appeared to be a drug exchange. James McCurdy, 24, saw the officer, walked away and crouched behind a vehicle, police said.
The officers caught up to him and checked the area. They found a small plastic bag containing about a quarter gram of suspected methamphetamine, police said.

McCurdy was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and parole violation. He was booked at the Napa County Department of Corrections.

" Another arrest story about the same person. That makes about 3 or 4 in the past few months.

Once the NPD thinks you have a target on you there's no getting away with anything.

Either this person was dropped on their head several times or the NPD is trying to send him a message.

Oh, and to jack27022003, I'm pretty certain I read that Sherrie died a while back. "

" Yes Sherri did die a while ago, I attended her funeral. I know that he has been in trouble before but he is a very nice guy who has had a very not so nice life. Everybody makes mistakes, but everybody also needs a little help and and a break once in a while. Dont judge a book by its cover until you have read the book. "
