NAPA -- Kathleen Marie Nix, 62, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 29, 2009. She was born July 4, 1947, in Buffalo, N.Y., to Ralph and Mary Paul. Her family moved to Vallejo where she graduated from high school in 1965. She earned her associate degree from Solano College.

She married Daryl Nix on June 4, 1988, and they lived in Vallejo and Napa. She was a Realtor who enjoyed helping families find a place to call home. She also served as co-pastor at the Community Church at Lake Berryessa for seven years.
Her caring nature and servant’s heart were evident to all who knew her.

She is survived by her sons, Dane Nix of Napa, Doug Johnpeer of Napa, and Brian Johnpeer of Elk Grove; her mother, Mary Paul; brothers Ron, Mike, Dennis and Ken; and sister Sue Ann.
A service in her honor will be held Wednesday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m., in the chapel of Tulocay Funeral Home. A graveside committal service will follow at Tulocay Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kathy Nix.
Words of sympathy can be sent to the family online at www.tulocaycemetery.org.
