Free business planning clinics
Free business clinics are offered to assist students who are participating in the second annual Napa Valley College Youth Entrepreneur Business Plan Competition.
Students will receive practical, hands-on training from NVC California Certified Small Business Advisors.
Clinics began Oct. 28, 5-8 p.m. and continue weekly on Wednesdays, Nov. 4, 11, 18 and Dec. 2, 5-8 p.m.
Clinics will be held at the Napa Valley College Small Business Development Center office, 1556 First St., Suite 103 in Napa. All students, ages 14 through 27 are welcome.
Call the NVC SBDC office at 253-3210 to schedule an appointment.
The Youth Entrepreneur Program Business Plan Competition takes place Dec. 5 at Napa Valley College.
First prize college division is $1,000 in cash and first prize high school division is $500.
The deadline for business plan entries was Nov. 30. Judges will score on creativity, research, clear explanations of products and services, and realistic financial plans for each business.
