Dennis Henry
NAPA -- Dennis Patric Henry, a lifelong resident of Napa, passed away suddenly at his home in Napa.
Dennis was born Dec. 26, 1961, at the Queen of the Valley Hospital, in Napa. At the time of his death, he was 47 years old.
He is survived by his daughter, Caitlin Ann Henry, and her mother, Lori Crowley of Napa; mother Dianne Henry of Napa; father Jack Henry of Southern California; half-sister Amy; uncles Richard (Mary) and Dan (Stephanie) Lonergan of Napa; cousins Rebecca Lonergan (David Bousfield) of Los Gatos, Matthew Lonergan of Martinez, Kelly (Eli) Caul of Santa Rosa and Amy (Tad) Samolis of Napa; cousins Scott and Shelly Henry, and all the wonderful children of these cousins.
Dennis graduated from Napa High School in 1980, where he was active in sports, playing football and participating in track. After high school, he joined the U.S. Navy. For four years, he was assigned to the USS Ranger and advanced to the rank of quartermaster.
After his military service, Dennis was employed by Noyes Lumber, Albion Land Survey and at the time of his death was employed by the County of Napa Public Works Department as an Engineer Assistant II.
Dennis was more of a brother to his cousins and his friends, more of a son to his uncles and aunts, a wonderful son to his mother and a great father to his lovely Cate, of whom he was so very proud. He was a gifted artist and enjoyed football, golf and kayaking. He thought the world of his many, many friends and co-workers. He is sorely missed and will always be remembered.
At Dennis’ request, services will be private.
