4:15 p.m.About 400 Napa County customers have lost power today due to a storm that has doused the area with rain.

Power is out at Coombsville Road at Silverado Middle School due to equipment failure. About 250 customers were without power, but power should be restored by about 4 p.m., said Pacific Gas and Electric Co. spokeswoman Katie Romans.
In the area of Coombsville at Third Street, equipment failure is also blamed for a power outage affecting 150 customers. Officials estimate power should be restored at about 6 p.m.

Romans warned residents to be prepared for outages as the storm progresses through the area. Keep a battery powered flashlight and radio handy. Residents can also freeze water in a tub for their refrigerators should there be extended outages.
"Our crews are kind of working against the weather because the storm continues to change and evolve," she said.
