4:15 p.m.A rain counter at Napa Valley Airport measured 3.36 inches of rain since 4 a.m. today, according to Andy Mussoline, an Accuweather meteorologist.

"We expect rain heavy at times through the early part of tonight. After midnight, the rain will be diminishing," Mussoline said. "The worst of the storm is happening this afternoon and into the evening."
Mussoline said by tomorrow morning there will be only a few showers throughout the day with cloudy conditions. The sun returns on Thursday, when it will be partly sunny with a high of 72 degrees.

Winds were measured gusting at up to 39 mph, with a statewide peak measured in San Francisco at 62 mph gusts.
People needing sandbags from the city are out of luck. City Spokesman Barry Martin said the city only gears up for sandbags this time of year if there is a flood watch or flood warning in effect. So far there is only a small stream advisory.

" "People needing sandbags from the city are out of luck". Well, isn't that special. Hey, I needed those sandbags to protect my house from a flooding issue caused by the city - one they refuse to fix. So, my house flooded again. Thanks, City of Napa. Thanks for nothing. "
