An Oakland Raiders assistant coach was interviewed Friday by Napa police as part of an investigation into a reported assault at the Raiders training camp in Napa last month, the NFL Network is reporting.

Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports Monday that Raiders assistant Randy Hanson was interviewed and reportedly told Napa police that Raiders head coach Tom Cable assaulted him, resulting in a broken jaw.
Hanson's attorney spoke with La Canfora, providing information about last Friday's interview with Hanson by Napa police, the NFL Network report states.

Cmdr. Andy Lewis of the Napa Police Department stated previously and further comment by the police department is going to be posted to the department's Web site.

" It seems to me that the NPD is being very accommodating here to both sides.
I am ok with it as long as Cable goes down for assault...any other outcome after all this time should be suspicious.
And your opinion is??????????? "

" Fighting dirty has always been a trademark of the Raiders, so expecting this team to have any class internally would be silly. They are the thugs of the NFL. "

" Just want to thank the D.A. for not arresting the Oakland coach Tom Cable for breaking the Jaw of a fellow worker !!

If it was one of are fellow Napan's they would have been charged with a felony and had to serve time with fines, classes on anger management and 5 years probation.

This is a story that 60 minutes should follow... "

" Too bad the Raiders couldn't pin this on JaMarcus Russell, that would solve two problems. "

" I have to agree if this was anyone else they would be in jail

Doesnt demonstrate role models for our children, not the Raiders nor our courts. "

" I agree rickw maybe if he would have hit Russell we would have a QB that could throw over 100 yard game on Sunday. "

" I don't understand why the DA's office is pushing so hard on this guy to name names and make a case out of this. It was obvious from the beginning that he didn't want to, but the hospital had to report it. So, why, when he stonewalled from the beginning did they continue to push? And, are they threatening him with obstruction? Is that why he is now cooperating? I think sometimes a fight is just a fight and it needs to be left at that. This is a waste of taxpayer money. "

" Well if they charge Cable Guy with assault you have to charge Uncle Al with accessory because we all know no Raiders coach can do anything on their own without Al telling them. "
