What did you think of Raiders' opening game performance

Game one is in the books and the Raiders are 0-1, courtesy of a last-minute drive orchestrated by Philip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers.

The Raiders were competetive in the first half, fell asleep in the third quarter, then teased fans with a late fourth quarter go-ahead touchdown, only to see the game end up 24-20 Chargers.
What are your impressions after the season's first game?

" If the raiders weren't jobbed on the overturned TD call, SD's last drive would have tied the game up and it would have went to OT. O-line played great and gave JRuss tons of time to put up much better numbers than he did. The Raiders are a different team this year and will be fighting for the AFC West title this year. Beat KC, Beat Denver and get to 2 and 1. GO RAIDERS!!!!! "

" If the Raiders would just stop running the prevent defense at the end of games when they are ahead they might end up winning some games. Russel needs to be more productive and consistant. if he can't then get someone who can. High five to the Defense for most of the game. Blame this one on the coaching staff. "

" Someone needs to slap Al and let him know that Jamarcus is not the future.
Until we find a QB that does not have to babied and can play at a decent pro level. We will be nothing "

" The 49ers won their opening game. They are looking so strong. Go 9ers!
Cyclopath: You're right. They were robbed. It clearly showed on the replay that it was a touchdown. "

" Jamarcus is horrible. The Raiders played the best football I've seen them play in years but without a viable QB they may go 8-8 (if they play at the level they did Monday).

Jeff Garcia would have easily won this game for the Raiders because there were SO MANY receivers WIDE OPEN early in the game that JR could not hit with a simple pass..... With Garcia the Raiders would have scored 40 points...Al, you're a fool!!!!!!

T.J. Simers wrote the perfect article in yesterday's LA Times about Al Davis. Forbes ranks the Aldavis Raiders as the NFL team with least value. "

" Well said Paddy. I made the call the minute I heard Garcia was coming to camp. Now with j-bust we will be lucky to win at all.I put my money on the running game and defense on all of our scoring. Its pretty sad when the best play of the game from your QB is a lead block on a reverse.I could have thrown the td pass on the 4-15 play.
