UC Berkeley continued preparations for the 2009 football season with an hour-and-a-half scrimmage as part of its training camp earlier this week at Memorial Stadium.
“Today’s scrimmage is what you would typically see,” head coach Jeff Tedford said on the Bears’ athletic Web site. “We played a lot of young guys today to get them some scrimmage time. This is a chance to see some of these guys and evaluate what they can do.”
The Bears begin their 2009 season with a nationally televised ESPN2 contest against Maryland at Memorial Stadium on Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.
