A Napa man was arrested Tuesday after police say he arrived at a former girlfriend’s residence and forced his way into the apartment.

At about 10:30 p.m., Napa police responded to the 100 block of Freeway Drive regarding a disturbance. They contacted Joseph Armando Ammenti, 30, outside of the residence. He consented to him and his vehicle being searched, which turned up a set of brass knuckles.

Ammenti was arrested and booked at the Napa County jail for suspected possession of an illegal weapon and vandalism.
