Worship notes

New Student Ministries pastor at NVBC

Ken Gillming is the new Student Ministries pastor at Napa Valley Baptist Church. He, his wife Monique, and their two sons, Kenneth, 9, and Mark, 8, recently moved to Napa from Springfield, Mo. As the Student Ministries pastor, Ken oversees all youth activities for ages pre-school through high school. His vision is to influence and elevate students to be real and to show them the real love of God.

Real Student Ministries is divided into three parts: Real Start (preschool); Real Kids (kindergarten through fifth grade; and Real Life (middle school and high school). Ken has fun activities planned for kids every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Napa Valley Baptist Church, 2303 Trower Ave., Napa. Info, 252-2100. All kids welcome.

Seventh-day Adventist Church

Crosspointe Community Church

Pastor Will Redmond preaches through the Book of Acts in a contemporary worship service July 5 at 9:30 a.m. Sunday School available for children of all ages at this service. The church seeks a guitarist or keyboardist to lead singing. Napa Valley Center for Spiritual Living

First Christian Church

Rainforest Adventure Vacation Bible School is an event for kids entering grades 1-6 in fall 2009, with a treetop adventure for kids who will be 4 or 5 by Dec. 1. Rainforest Adventure is five evenings of fun, including games, crafts, stories, music and snacks.
