Angelica Colombo
CALISTOGA - Longtime St. Helena resident, Angelica Maria Colombo, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Calistoga Gardens. She is preceded in death by her beloved son, Raymond.
Angelica was active in the community of St. Helena, she was past president of the Sons of Italy, and member of the American Legion and the Native Sons as well as other involvements. She was the matriarch of her family and known by the community as “The Ravioli Lady” as she loved cooking and was great at it.
She is survived by her beloved Manual DeAlmeida; five grandchildren: Kassandra Calfee (Mike) of Hollister, Victoria MaGee (Tom) of Hollister, Sabrina McDougall (Ian) of Virginia, Allegra Colombo of Virginia, and Andriana Colombo of Napa; nine great-grandchildren: Nicholas (Katie) MaGee, Melissa (Danny) Chapa, Michael Calfee, Amanda, Megan and Lauren Thresher, Jacob Frommett, and Tug and Natashia Colombo; and three great-great-grandchildren: Presley and Phoenix Chapa, and Alexia Thresher.
A visitation will be Sunday, July 5, 1-4 p.m., with a rosary service at 2 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Chapel, 990 Vintage Ave.,
St. Helena. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 6, at 10 a.m., at Grace Episcopal Church (St. Helena Catholic Church under renovation), 1314 Spring St., St. Helena. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to charity of choice.
