Elks Larison Scholarship fund winners

Napa Elks Lodge No. 832 hosted dinner for 16 high school scholarship recipients and their families. Scholarships awarded totaled $16,000.

Mensch graduates basic training

Justin Mensch graduated from U.S. Army basic combat training on May 29, 2009. He is a 2008 graduate of Napa High School.

Glynn receives master's degree

Megan Jennifer Glynn, a Vintage High School graduate, class of 1998, received a master’s degree in dance from the University of California, Irvine on June 6, 2009. At UCI, she was a graduate teaching assistant in dance history and jazz technique. She also worked with the UCI opera and theater departments, choreographing numerous productions, taught at various dance studios in the styles of jazz, tap, hip-hop, musical theater and contemporary.

Local students graduate

Calistoga resident Brittany Joyce Brown graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a bachelor of arts in sociology on May 9, 2009. More than 1,300 students graduated at the spring commencement ceremony./Register
