Aging agency appoints board members

The Area Agency on Aging serving Napa and Solano counties said two new members from Napa County have been appointed to serve two-year terms on its board of directors, joining the current members from Napa and Solano County.

AAA is a private nonprofit that functions under the direction of a 16-member board of directors. Ten of the AAA board of director positions are nominated by county supervisors (five from each county); there are also three at large positions on the board from each county.

Lois Printz, a resident of the Veterans Home of California, is filling an “at large position. She has lived in Texas, New Mexico and Santa Clara before coming to the Napa Valley. She is retired from a career as an administrator with a number of large corporations in the private sector, including 3Com Corporation, and she is associated with several philanthropic organizations in a leadership role.

Brenda Knight of American Canyon has been appointed to represent Napa County Supervisorial District 5. She is on the board of trustees for the Napa Valley College District. She is the owner/CEO of Brenda Knight Consulting Services, and is also part-time executive director for the Association of African American Vintners.

Wendy Wallin, a psychotherapist and educator, has been reappointed to represent Napa County Supervisorial District 3. Napa County residents Dr. Kenneth Lee and Carolyn Wrage also continue to serve on the AAA board.

Established in 1980, the AAA provides services that support seniors in their own homes and communities for as long as possible.
