George Fulton - NAPA
George Bradford Fulton passed away peacefully at his Napa home on June 28, 2009, at the age of 75.
Born on June 27, 1934, in Carbon Hill, Ala., George moved to Benicia in 1941 and resided there most of his life, later moving to Green Valley, and then Napa.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda, of 55 years; his sons, Dirk (Becky), Barry and Paul (Debbie); grandchildren Heather, Chloe, Melody, Bradford and Chase; and his sister, Billie Lee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bamber and Leola Fulton, and his brother, Donald.
George enjoyed sports, especially golf and boating, and loved spending time with his family and friends.
Prior to his retirement, George was active in real estate brokerage, appraisal and development. He served as president of the Solano Board of Realtors, was a member of the Benicia Planning Commission, and served on many local service organizations. He was proud to be a lifelong Democrat, working on many state and local campaigns. He also co-sponsored the Benicia Panther Classic golf tournament for many years, which raised substantial funds for athletic programs at Benicia High School.
Friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, July 1, at 11 a.m. at Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, 901 West 2nd St., Benicia, 745-3130. Donations may be made in George’s name to the Benicia High School Athletic Program, c/o Craig Holden, Athletic Director, 1101 Military West, Benicia, CA 94510.
