Jack King
Jack King - YONCALLA, Ore.
Jack G. King of Yoncalla, Ore., died April 19, 2009. He suffered a stroke two years previously, leaving him half paralyzed. In God’s mercy he sleeps until Jesus comes to take us all home.
At death, the body returns to dust and the spirit — the breath of life, returns to God. Ecclesiastes 12:7
His first wife of 60 years, Rosalind Bailey King, preceded him in death in December 2005. His youngest daughter, Paulette Ellen King, preceded him in death in 1972.
He is survived by his second wife, Marcie Anderson King; brother Marvin King and his wife, Marilyn; sister Pat Dunkhorst; daughters Carol King and Jennifer King Rhodes; son-in-law Richard Lee Rhodes; grandson Jeff Lee Rhodes and his wife, Laurice; great-grandchildren Cody Lee Rhodes and Brian Gonzolas; step-daughter Elsa Anderson; nieces Sandy Dunkhorst, Linda King Cooper, Julie King DeOcampo; Jacquie King Pitch and Kris King Garland and nephew Robert Dunkhorst.
In 1952, Jack got his teaching credential at Pacific Union College in Angwin. He taught at South Fork High School in Miranda, Calif., for 20 years.
He was loved by many. While in Mercy Hospital, Jack started the “Whosoever Club.” Jack would ask, “Do you know what John 3:16 says? For God so loved the world that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” Then he would ask you if you wanted to be a whosoever.
So, if you want to see Jack King again, join the whosoevers.
