New beer for food pairings
Spanish chef Ferran Adrià and his team have announced they’ve created a beer brewed for food pairings. Estrella Damm Inedit, a blend of barley malt and wheat with spices, “provides an intense and complex aroma to complement challenging foods like salads, vinegar-based sauces, and bitter notes such as asparagus and artichokes, fatty and oily fish and citrus.”
Furthermore, Inedit is bottled in a 750 ml black wine bottle and is intended for sharing. According to the directions, Inedit is to be served in a white wine glass, filled halfway and chilled in a cooler. It is available in the U.S. at retailers and restaurants.
