DUI arrest after Highway 29 crash

St. Helena police arrested a 21-year-old Napa man after his car struck the stone wall in front of the Culinary Institute of America Wednesday night.

Valentin S. Abrego was arrested for investigation of drunk driving, driving on a suspended license, violation of probation for a prior conviction for driving while intoxicated and having an open container of alcohol in his vehicle, Sgt. Chris Hartley said.

Abrego was taken to St. Helena Hospital for treatment for a bump to his head, Hartley said.
