Donald Leroy Davis passed away June 16, 2009. He was born April 30, 1927, in Raymond, Wash., to Earnest and Francis Davis. He served in the Navy during WWII, being among the first military to enter Japan after the Hiroshima bomb. He received a Bachelor of Arts in teaching, and taught high school more than 30 years.

He is survived by his wife Edith, daughters Cheryl and Valerie Davis, son Glen Davis, and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 24 at 11 a.m.  at the Chapel of Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, Napa, CA 94559. Condolences may be offered to the family online at www.rpfsc.com.

" In 1969-70 I was fortunate to have Mr. Davis as my Business Law teacher at Napa High. He was intelligent, funny, and interesting and made the class interesting as well.
He had the personality that made him someone to remember, and I was saddened to read of his passing. MY sincere condolences to his family.
He definately made a difference, and he will be greatly missed. "
