" I will always remember Dan Krainert and his heart transplant story being reported in the Register in the early 80's. Encouraging and positive reports..
I remember he worked at Safeway for a short time before his operation.
Positive thoughts and may he rest in peace. "

" I remember driving a truck load of Vintage high Pep squad girls all over town collecting pop bittle to trade in for $$ to give to Dan. People would asks them what they wanted the money for and hand them dollars more to help their cause. I thought the guy at Luckys was going to faint when he saw the truck full of bottles...they filled several shopping carts full...They collected over $500.00 . Everyone loved Dan and we are all sadded that he is lost his courage battle.
Rest in Peace Dan.

" I'm so sad to hear of Dan's passing. I was his primary nurse when he had his heart transplant and laugh when I think of all the crazy antics he pulled while he was in ICU. He was truly a special guy and will be missed, but I know he's safe with his God now. Rest in peace, Danny. "
