The Vintage High School baseball team won the Land Park Easter Tournament in Sacramento Thursday, beating Vacaville in the championship game, 9-4, and running its winning streak to three in a row.

Prep Boys Swimming: Vintage 116, Fairfield 54
Vintage improved to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in Monticello Empire League action with Wednesday’s victory, notching several personal-best and quality swims.

Caroline Zaia’s first-half goal on an assist from Ashley Syme led Justin-Siena in a shutout win over host Novato in a Marin County Athletic League game Thursday.
JV Girls Soccer: Napa 2, Vintage 1
Vintage led 1-0 at halftime after Katie Fulton followed in a shot by Sarah Murdock that was saved in the 14th minute.
Prep Softball: Napa Easter Tournament starts today
Despite Thursday’s rain, Napa High softball head coach John O’Connor said the Napa Easter Tournament will be held today and Saturday as scheduled, but on different fields than originally planned and at slightly later game times.
Prep Boys Golf: Vintage 204, Fairfield 276
Brandon Duncan led Vintage (3-4) with a 38 in Thursday’s Monticello Empire League dual match at the Chardonnay Golf Club’s Meadows Course.
Prep Girls Swimming: Vintage 136, Fairfield 29
Outstanding swims for Vintage (2-1 overall, 1-1 Monticello Empire League) were turned in by Chardonnay Biter-Mundt (200 and 500 freestyle), Katrina Husted (50, 100 freestyle), Bailey Clem (200 individual medley, 100 backstroke), Corrine Schafle (100 breaststroke, 500 freestyle) and Breanna Weber (50, 100 freestyle).

Laura Brochard swam well for Vintage.
Youth Basketball: Optimist Youth program
It’s been said that defense wins championships, but when Browns Valley Dental squared off against Long Electric in the Optimist Youth Basketball program’s boys 9th/10th grade championship game, it was a 3-point shooting exhibition by Faris Shweiky that led Long Electric to this year’s title.
