The Storm finished fifth out of seven teams in Big 8 Conference Tournament No. 2 on Thursday at Morgan Creek Golf & Country Club in Roseville, improving from a seventh-place in the first conference tourney a week before.

Prep Baseball: Vintage 10, Vallejo 7

Trevor Larsen went 4-for-5 with two RBIs to lead a 12-hit attack for the Crushers (4-1) in Thursday’s nonleague win at home.

Prep Baseball: Justin-Siena 7, Tamalpais 5

Jordan Grubbs started and went three innings to get the win in Thursday’s Marin County Athletic League opener for Justin-Siena (1-1 overall) in Mill Valley. Grubbs didn’t allow any hits, walked three and struck out five.

JV Girls Soccer: Vintage 3, Justin-Siena 0

Crystal Andreas scored two goals on breakaways and Marilu Martinez struck from 30 yards out on a free kick in Wednesday’s game.

Center-midfielder Sara Warner’s goal from 18 yards out in the second half was the only score of the game as Justin-Siena shut out Vintage, 1-0, in girls soccer on Wednesday.
