JV Boys Basketball: Fairfield 60, Vintage 56

The Crushers were led by Omar Sarouli (17 points), Gianni Nola (12 points) and Alvin Ubungen (11 points) in Tuesday night’s Monticello Empire League game. The Crushers are 17-7 overall, 6-1 in the MEL.

JV Girls Basketball: Justin-Siena 54, Novato 12

Teal Geyer had 19 of her 21 points in the first half as the Braves took a 38-3 halftime lead after blanking the visiting Hornets 20-0 in the first quarter of the MCAL contest.

JV Girls Basketball: Napa 40, Vacaville 36

Dani Green led Napa with 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Kelsey Vanderschoot (seven points, six boards), Samantha Gafvert (six points, three steals), MacKenzie LeMasters (five points), Danielle Beatty (five points), Becca Steen (five points, three steals, three assists), Casey Van Camp (five boards), and Morgan Benson (five boards) led Napa (11-11 overall, 3-4 Monticello Empire League).

Trinity Prep, Justin-Siena girls roll to lopsided victories

Playing in Marysville, Trinity Prep beat New Life Christian Tuesday night 38-7 to clinch the Northern Pacific Athletic Conference girls basketball title. The Crusaders were outscored 4-3 in the second quarter, but thanks to a 17-0 first quarter, took a 20-4 lead into the locker room.

Varsity Girls Basketball: Fairfield 69, Vintage 47

Sierra Young (13 points, nine rebounds), Kelsey Zeller (14 points, two assists, seven rebounds, two blocks, one steal), Jordan Price (nine points, three assists, three rebounds), and Marseille Chislom (three points, one assist, seven rebounds, one block, one steal) led Vintage in Tuesday night’s Monticello Empire League game.

Varsity Boys Basketball: Napa 79, Vacaville 62

Brandon Andrews had 23 points with five 3-pointers and five assists and Ben Ballantine double-doubled with 21 points and 15 rebounds as the Indians (11-13 overall, 4-3 MEL) got a must-win Tuesday night on the road.

Varsity Girls Basketball: Napa 60, Vacaville 46

After trailing 31-24 at halftime, the MEL-leading Indians shot 11-of-15 from the field in the third quarter while holding the Bulldogs to 3-of-4 shooting, and pulled away for the home victory.
