This year’s Napa Town and Country Fair will run Aug. 12-16, with the theme: “Farm Fresh Fun ... We Deliver.”

The fairgrounds will be planted with corn and sunflowers. They will be used for decoration and fencing, fair CEO Joe Anderson reported.
The fair will end the Sunday before the start of classes in the Napa Valley Unified School District on Aug. 19.

" Ah, good, this will be MUCH less controversial than last year's Mexican theme.

Farm fresh, sounds very rural American. "

" Why is it focused on corn and sunflowers?? What about all the other flowers and grain and vegetables out there?? Ha ha ha just kidding. Definately less controversial than last year. Bring on the fair!! "

" This is great... farm fresh empanadas, elotes, carnitas, tortillas... I can't wait! Save a cerveza for me. "

" Now that's what we're talking about for a fair theme, Anderson. Farm Fresh - very Fair-y. "

" I like the theme! Rural, agricultural, but not focused on the grapes. Very nice. "

" I like this one, and I agree, much better than last year, its a theme that all can enjoy. "

" Yay. See, they could have done something like this last year, but thankfully they've come to their senses.

Phew, we're back to making it about the fair and not a cultural theme. Produce, harvest, animals, and good 'ol american apple pie nice...most excellent :) "

" Kudos to Joe Anderson and his committee that came up with the community oriented theme. "

" I think the city council will have something to say about all those goats and chicken crowded into those pens and the demolition derby will have to be dropped because of too many junk cars in one place "

" Kudos for Joe Anderson may be stretching it-jmo. It's more like, "Duh, Anderson - after last years mess and your arrogant and defiant response to the community" I hope Anderson has learned a lesson - the fair is no place for a socially controversial theme. "

" This is more Napa-like - or the direction it wants to be heading. No need for controversy at something as simple as a fair theme. "
