The team arrived at the Ketchikan airport and we quickly took a brief ferry ride to the mainland. There we were greeted with an abundance of snow.

St. Helena High’s varsity boys basketball team posted a seventh-place finish at the Clarke Cochrane Christmas Classic in Ketchikan, Alaska at Ketchikan High School last week.

JV Girls Basketball: Vintage 52, Woodland 6

The Crushers led 20-4 after the first quarter and held the Wolves scoreless in the second half of Thursday’s rout.

Freshman Girls Basketball: Terra Linda 38, Justin-Siena 36

The Vintage High School girls basketball team wrapped up the nonleague portion of its schedule with a 63-24 rout over visiting Woodland on Thursday night.

JV Boys Basketball: Rodriguez 58, Napa 36

Napa played well in the first half of Wednesday’s road contest in Fairfield, but the Indians were worn down in the second half by the Mustangs’ full-court pressure.

JV Girls Basketball: Vanden 43, Napa 38

The Indians finished the nonleague portion of their schedule at 8-7 overall.
