Authorities seek help in dog attack probe

8:30 a.m.The Napa County Sheriff’s Department animal service is asking the public’s help in locating and identifying a woman who may have been bitten by dogs while jogging near St. Helena.

The woman, described as in her 40s with a slender build and brown hair, was jogging on Dec. 28, around 2 p.m., at the north end of Sulphur Springs Road.
Officers believe the woman may have been bitten or scratched, sheriff’s Capt. John Robertson said.

Another jogger was attacked by the dogs in the same area, but she has been identified.
The three dogs are quarantined at the county animal shelter. Anyone with information is asked to call animal services at 253-4517.
