Napa County Sheriff’s responded to an Oakville vineyard Saturday night to a report of a vehicle on fire.

When deputies arrived at Napa Wine Company, they located a Chevrolet Avalanche fully engulfed in flames in a vineyard behind the company.

“No one was in or around (the SUV) and the vehicle was stripped out and it appears to be a stolen car,” Sheriff’s Sgt. Mike Milat said.

Although the vehicle had no identifying marks on it, Milat said that the California Highway Patrol took a report of a vehicle stolen from an Ethel Porter Drive home in Napa earlier that evening. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 253 4501.
