" Dan, when were you planning on writing about the continuing Blago soap opera?

Are you so "in the bag" for the Democrat Party that you will just ignore their public show of malfeasance that goes all the way to the B.O. Administration?

B.O. has already confirmed Rahm was in discussion with Blago.

Blago has confirmed that B.O. was directly involved in the Senate selection process and that he was adamant that least one of the candidates NOT be selected.

Why was the investigation so abruptly stopped before it was complete? Was a "big fish" at risk of getting snared in the wiretap net?

How far will Blago go to save his neck? What will he reveal and who will he drop a dime on? If he really "has the goods" on someone "important" will the the case suddenly be dropped and go away?

Gotta love Blago's hutzpuh in nominating a Black candidate to the Senate!

Let's see Harry Reid refuse to seat him!

Let's see the Democrats in the Senate vote to lock up his credentials in Committee!

One can only hope this comedy continues to play out for weeks and months to come.

Every day pulls the curtain back just a little bit more, revealing just how deep and widespread the corruption is the Democrat Party... "

" This was sent to me by a friend in Illinois. This is what they think of their Gov. Rod Blowhard. BTW the reference to George Ryan 'creating extra space' in the third verse is about the former Illinois Gov. still in jail for his corruption (and yes ruff, Ryan is a Republican, and Rod is a Dem so just chill out).

To the tune of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen"

Get packin', Rod Blagojevich
The state's in disarray
The Tribune wants you unemployed
At least by Christmas Day.
The TV pundits want your head
Could there be pay to play?
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy
Save Illinois!
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

Good riddance Rod Blagojevich
Your Elvis look's inane,
The Senate's mad, so's Lisa's dad.
You drive us all insane.
Our transit's broke, the state's a joke,
The Tollway's one big pain.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy
Save Illinois!
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy.

Good luck old Rod Blagojevich
The feds have quite a place.
Fitzgerald's poked his nose around
And if he has a case,
George Ryan's moving stuff around
Creating extra space.
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy
Save Illinois!
Oh, tidings of comfort and joy. "

" kevin - Dan wrote somewhere that he is vacationing until January 5th or 6th.

As it happens, Dan gets back about the time when we find out whether Burris actually gets seated when the 111th Congress is sworn in on Tuesday.

As the Bush administration is reaching it's well-deserved end, they can no longer slow-step the Abramoff scandal, which will blow wide open AGAIN even if Bush pardons more crooks.

It also turns out that Scooter Libby was one of the lawyers involved in the Marc Rich pardon before he went to work for D*ck Cheney.

So it would make for very interesting TV on C-SPAN2 to have Republicans make a big stink about the Eric Holder confirmation.

Happy New Year, kevin!

" kevin:
I have been out of state on a fmily holiday, only arriving home tonight .. that's why you've seen nothing of substance from me for a while now. Those "Most-Read" items you saw pop up during the holidays were written weeks ago, and set to publish while I was gone ... "
