Earlier this month 21 members of the Napa Valley Yacht Club gathered at the clubhouse on Riverside Drive to put together 84 gift bags for needy Napa seniors.

Rita Umphries is always good for a laugh.

As we approach Christmas Eve and the joys that await our children on Christmas morning, we recently had our grandsons at grandma and grandpa’s house working on a large puzzle of a town under snow, yet dressed up with tinsel and cheery Christmas lights awaiting the magic that would soon arrive.

It’s the second Brownie meeting of the year and Maureen, the mom hosting the meeting, decides to take our eight Brownies to Piner’s Nursing Home for Christmas caroling.

A question for those of you that have been around for awhile like me: Do you ever let your memory wander through the past and then compare it to the present? I do it all of the time.
