Pam Starr, winemaker and co-proprietor of Crocker & Starr winery in St. Helena, will be the honorary wine chair for the 2009 Culinary Evening with California Winemasters on May 16 at the “Midwest Street” back lot at Warner Bros. Studios, Burbank.

The event benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and it will be the 20th anniversary of “Winemasters.” In its first 19 years the event has raised a total of nearly $18 million and organizers hope to “hit the $20 million mark in the 20th year.”
Some 70 wineries, mostly from Napa Valley, have agreed to participate in 2009, along with more than 50 restaurants, including several from Napa Valley.
