Varsity Boys Basketball: Franklin 87, Vintage 59

Vintage had four players in double figures, but the Crushers dropped a nonleague boys basketball game to Franklin-Elk Grove Wednesday night.

Zach Wagner (16 points), Ben Molinari (13), Kenny Laprelle (11) and Mark Scott (10) led the Crushers (1-1 overall) in scoring.

Vintage was down by 10 points in the second quarter.

“We stayed with them in the first half,” said coach Scott Thom. “Franklin shot the ball real well. We had a hard time matching up with them.

“Our guys were working hard defensively. They gave it their best.”
