Tea for two, or elevenses

Dear editor,

Something wonderful is happening up in Calistoga! There is now a very special place for everyone, but especially for those of the English persuasion, who like cream teas, bangers and mash, Cornish pasties, sausage rolls and Victoria sponge cake. All of these superbly prepared traditional English goodies I found served in the English Garden Tea Rooms just off the main street in Calistoga. Everything is served on beautiful rose china and atop multi-tiered serving trays, all elegantly set out on silky table cloths.
The decor of the rooms also carries different rosy themes with the friendliest of people as its staff serving you. I came from England in 1945 and this tea room is the very best place to have tea (or lunch or elevenses) that I’ve found since I came to this country. I want to be sure everyone knows about it so that it can continue serving authentic English teas and treats well into the future and still be there for all my special dates and birthdays celebrations.
