Peter Ibrahim is fed up with the vandalism at his Jefferson Street business.

Within the past six months, the front glass plate window at Lawler’s Liquors near the intersection of Jefferson Street and Lincoln Avenue has been smashed with a rock four times, Ibrahim said.
“It is happening in the very early morning hours — between 3 and 6 a.m., when the streets are deserted and no one is around,” Ibrahim said.

Ibrahim said the vandalism is targeted toward him or his business since there is no evidence anyone has ever tried to enter the store and remove merchandise.
In all four of the incidents, someone has thrown a rock through the window, Ibrahim said. “Each time it has cost about $1,500 to replace the  window.”

Ibrahim said the store surveillance cameras have not been able to take a photo of the culprit. “We have only been able to get a shot of a car driving away.”
Ibrahim said he has thought of putting steel bars over the window.

“But I wonder what good that would do. These people might just go some where else and break other windows,” he said.

Anyone with information about the vandalism is asked to call the Napa police at 257-9223.

" Hey wait a second "Ibrahim said the vandalism is targeted toward him or his business" and then he said if I put up bars ...."These people might just go some where else and break other windows" Da you can't be a victim and a martyr. Remember your clients are the top 10% of the lower 1% of Napa. Not saying all shoppers going in there arn't looking for a lovely chablis for dinner. "

" Mr Ibrahim I feel your pain. Graffiti & vandalism is a community problem. It's depressing to have to look a the garbage those idiots spray on somebody else's property. I'd love to help you catch the littles punks, but at my age I'm not out and about at 3:00 AM. "

" Its not just him, I have a friend who has a storefront on Jefferson who had her window shot out this summer, then the store next door got theirs broken out with a rock a few days later.

He needs to set up a high def camera. "

" Peter, you need a better security camera. For what you are paying for windows, you could have a system that not only shows the car, but the license plate too... "

" What a shame that someone would feel the need to treat Lawler's Liquors in such a manner.

This liquor store does not cater just to "the top 10% of the lower 1%", they have been in Napa for decades and have some very delicious and fresh Italian comfort food available to-go.

Anytime I get asked by tourists where the locals go to eat I tell them that we've been eating malfatti and ravioli from Lawler's for years. Save a bundle, get a dozen of each, some garlic bread, cold beer, and head back to the motel room for a movie. "

" 1) Hire a security guard
2) Use video cameras to catch who's doing it and use signs that state that there are camera
3)move "

I see a lot of nice folks as I live around the corner and I see a lot of well eveything from scum to just plain down and out. This area is not the in the best area of town with nice pretty hotels, clean sidewalks and big wine shops and tasting bars. Where do you live?? "

" Merri: "WHAT?" Do you live in Napa? Have you ever gone to Lawler's it's Napa's little secret about the best malfatti and ravioli. I think a lot of soccer moms would take offense at your 10%-1% comment. I know I do. "

" My top 10% son, if I do say so myself, is a frequent customer of Lawler's for their delicious deli sandwiches and malfatti. "
